The AUTBM Automated High-Energy Planetary Ball Mill is an AI-driven fully automated high-energy ball mill. It features a maximum main disk speed of 600 rpm and a grinding jar rotation speed of up to 1200 rpm. Equipped with programmable control, precise positioning, and automatic jar positioning, clamping, and ejection functions (compatible with robotic arms), it can be used in a glove box under an inert atmosphere. Optional grinding jar capacities include 4×30 ml, 4×50 ml, and 4×100 ml. It is suitable for the preparation of solid-state electrolytes, including sulfides, halides, and oxides.

Working Principle

The crushing and grinding of materials are primarily achieved through high-energy impact from the grinding balls, partially supplemented by friction between the balls and the inner wall of the grinding jar. Therefore, the grinding material and grinding balls rotate around their own axes in the direction opposite to the main disk's rotation within the grinding jar. At a certain speed, centrifugal force causes the ground sample material and grinding balls to detach from the inner wall of the jar, crossing the jar at extremely high speeds diagonally and impacting the material to be ground on the opposite wall. During this process, the grinding jar reaches twice the speed of the main disk. With the main disk speed of the AUTBM Automated High-Energy Planetary Ball Mill reaching up to 600 rpm and the jar rotation speed up to 1200 rpm, coupled with powerful drive power and centrifugal acceleration of up to 92 g, high-performance grinding becomes achievable.
