Advantages and Disadvantages of PTFE Ball Milling Jars

The polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) ball milling jars can remain stable at high temperatures and still maintain good mechanical toughness at extremely low temperatures. It shows inertness towards most chemical substances and solvents, can withstand strong acids, strong alkalis, water and various organic solvents, has the lowest surface tension, does not adhere to any substances, is convenient for cleaning and maintenance. However, PTFE products have low hardness, so in terms of pressure resistance and deformation, they cannot withstand excessive pressure. They are prone to plastic deformation or cold flow when tightened, and have insufficient wear resistance, poor mechanical strength and insufficient rigidity, and are not suitable for long-term use under high rotational speeds.
